Yes, I’m Short.

Just because I’m short

I can climb the tallest trees

I can surf the biggest waves

And I can be almost 13.

Just because I’m short

I don’t need help reaching the thing on the top shelf

I don’t need help carrying that kind of too heavy box

And I don’t need help getting up after I get pushed down.

Just because I’m short

Don’t think you can fool me

I can beat you to that game

And whether you tower over me or not 

I’m a person just the same.
