Our Mission: At The Dragon, our mission is to celebrate the creativity of Middlesex Middle School students. The Dragon meetings provide a friendly and supportive space where MMS writers and artists can develop their stories, poems, artwork, and more. By showcasing student work through digital and print publications, The Dragon hopes to build confidence, encourage everyone to express their unique ideas, and promote a love of literature and art. Our journal is all about practicing creativity and supporting each other’s artistic journeys!

2024-2025 Meetings: The Dragon will meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Meetings will be held in Room 314. Please reach out to Miss Kelly ([email protected]) if you’re interested in joining our meetings or publishing your work.

Some History: The Dragon started in 2006 as an online publication to spotlight students’ interests and writing ability. Over time, the publication has evolved. In 2008, we went to an all-print form, releasing issues bi-monthly and providing the student body with a variety of information. For the past few years, we went back to publishing an online journal. Regardless of the format, The Dragon highlights the creative writing works by and for students at Middlesex Middle School year-round. This school year (2024-2025), we hope to share students works through both digital and print publications!
