Ms. Castillo

What brought you to MMS?:

She wanted to become a teacher and she loves the Spanish language. She combined both her love for the language and her goal of becoming a teacher and started to teach Spanish here at MMS. So far she has really enjoyed teaching here!

Have you taught before?  Second year teaching, though this is her first year at MMS.

What do you think of MMS so far? : She really likes the environment that MMS provides. She also enjoys working with the kids at MMS

What is your favorite expression/Quote?

“Que guay” (how cool)

 

Ms. Franzese

What brought you to MMS?

She fell in love with school. Now that she is at MMS she finds that both students and teacher are very welcoming!

Have you taught before? If so where?

This is her first official year teaching. She used to be a student teacher at a school in New Haven.

What do you think of MMS so far?

So far she is loving MMS! She finds that the teachers are great help and the students are energetic and fun

What is your favorite expression/Quote?:

“Cool beans”

 

Ms. Pleitez

What brought you to MMS?

She loves teaching! She wanted to transition from private to public school. She had heard great things about MMS and was excited to start to teach here!

Have you taught before? If so where?

She used to teach at a private school in Bedford, New York.

What do you think of MMS so far?

So far, she loves the environment and kids at MMS!

What is your favorite expression/Quote?

“Pura vida” (pure life)

 

Mr. Scelzo

What brought you to MMS?

He wanted to teach. Before starting to teach at MMS, he met Mr. Karlan, the former orchestra teacher. He loved what Mr. Karlan did with Orchestra, Rockestra, etc.

Have you taught before? If so where?

This is his first year teaching at a public school. Before he mainly did private lessons.

What do you think of MMS so far?

He really likes the staff because of their dedication and heart toward Music that many people lose overtime. Loves the students and was surprised to find how talented they all were! He is very happy with this year so far as MMS and is excited to see how the rest of the school year goes.

What is your favorite expression/Quote?

“ Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.”

Mrs. Fox

What brought you to MMS?

She recently moved and is now closer to the school.

Have you taught before? If so where?

She has taught for 28 years before coming to MMS. She used to work at eagle hill, a school in Greenwich.

What do you think of MMS so far?

Loves it! Finds the students welcoming and loves the environment!

What is your favorite expression/Quote?:

“Everyday is a new day.”

 

Ms. Wetmore

What brought you to MMS?

She graduated in May and had always wanted to teach!

Have you taught before? If so where?

She was a student teacher at Midford Elementary for six months before coming here.

What do you think of MMS so far?

Loves it! She teaches sixth grade and loves getting to learn about the school along with her sixth graders!

What is your favorite expression/Quote?:

“You got to take the good with the bad.”

What brought you to MMS?

She missed being with students!

Have you taught before? If so where?

She used to be a special educator in Fairfield. She also used to be a school counselor in Westport.

What do you think of MMS so far?

She loves it! She finds it very welcoming and really likes the kids and teachers.

What is your favorite expression/Quote?:

Fell in love with school. Now that she is at MMS she finds that the people here, both students and teachers, are very welcoming!

Ms. Jukic

What brought you to MMS?

She wanted to be closer to home. Her Brother, Mr. Jukic, used to work here and she heard nothing but positive things.  

Have you taught before? If so where?

She used to teach at Park City Prep Charter School, in Bridgeport.

What do you think of MMS so far?

Loves it! Finds it to be a fun place to work!
